Registration
Registration is open to anyone 18 years or older capable of safely completing a triathlon of equal or longer distance as the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Half Distance Triathlon in the allotted time.

Club Discounts
Triathlon licence
Each competitor must have a valid triathlon license. If you do not have a license, you have to buy a "one day" Spanish license during the registration process for 10 €.
Important!
To all participants with a non-Spanish Triathlon licence.
If you have NOT paid for a day's license during registration, you must present your valid Triathlon Licence (EU countries) and a certificate of being federated issued and stamped by the territorial federation specifying that the insurance coverage has been extended to participate in Spain on the dates of the competition. If you do not have these documents, you will have to pay for the one-day license.

Swim course regulations
- There will be separate starts for men and women.
- You are not allowed to swim with a bare torso.
- Wetsuits are forbidden when the water temperature is above 24.6 C. (the official water temperature is measured 1 hour before race start).
- Athletes aged 50+ are allowed to participate with a wetsuit whatever the water temperature is.
- Race number and compression calfs are allowed only when wearing a wetsuit.
- Cut off time is 10:18.

Bike course regulations
- Drafting is not allowed.
- Penalty for drafting is 5 minutes.
- Aerobars are allowed.
- Athletes must wear the race number visible on their bike and helmet.
- Bike cut off time 14:30.

Run course regulations
- The laps will be controlled and supervised by timing mats, chips and judges.
- Runners must wear the race number in the front of their race shirt and it must be clearly visible at all times.
- You are not allowed to run with a bare torso.
- You are not allowed to be accompanied by anybody (friends, team members, managers or other pacemakers) on the course.
- Prohibited: Headphones – mobile phones – video cameras – go pro or other electronic listening communication device.
- It is the athlete's responsibility to know the run course.
- Cut off time for the run course is 17:30.

Age group champions men & women
Champion of the year medal for age group winners.
Age groups are divided by year (18, 19, 20...). You will race in the age group that corresponds to your age on race day.

The Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is following the Spanish Triathlon Federations regulations. The following rules and regulations apply to all races.
Please make sure to read the following rules and regulations before signing up for your race.
